  • Wire – Rods :

    A few customers approached us with the following peculiar problem:

    Even grade III or grade IV wire rods as per IS 5484 : 1997 when drawn into wires of 3.5mm or more are failing in UTS as  prescribed by their customer.  Galada , technical team took up the challenge, adjusted the thermo mechanical conditions of casting, rolling and coiling the wire rods.  The customers are now totally satisfied, after drawing wires using these rods which meet the specification.
  • Conductors :

    After the introduction of Three Tier Quality Monitoring many of our customers had tough time with the inspecting teams on quality of conductors.  They were rejecting the Alloy conductor supplies.

    Galada, technical team took up the challenge , The standard chemical composition coupled with appropriate thermo mechanical treatment while making AAAC, produced desired conductors which passed all the tests.
  • T & D Lines : 

    Customers have Right of Way (ROW) constraints in many areas where power consumption has multiplied, and consequently Transmission Lines need to be uprated/upgraded.

    Galada has already helped two  utilities to increase power flow by 50 – 60% by changing conductors with those specially designed.  The reconductored lines of 132kV & 110kV  are efficiently operating for years and are giving useful and reliability service to customers

GPTL firsts in energy – saving technologies processes and products :

• Technocrat Managing Director of GPTL took up as his first developmental project, Design, development, manufacture and successful operation of indigenously designed melting, concast, rolling and coiling Line for production of Aluminium Wire – Rods. Today more than hundred lines are operational, saving substantial energy

• GPTL was the first Indian company to design, develop and manufacture using Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) process the Aluminium Alloy Wheels for auto mobiles. Today a few hundred thousand cars use these, to save energy.

• GPTL was the first to pioneer indigenous production Aluminium Alloy Wire – Rods. Thereafter, the AAA conductors are being used on LT, Sub transmission and Transmission Lines upto 400kV. The country has in operation several energy saving AAA Lines.

• GPTL was magnanimous to share all the knowledge with others to make our country richer and prosperous. The concepts developed GPTL have been adopted by several corporates, thus saving a lot of human energy.
